Nottingham, NH - Nottingham Fire Rescue Department firefighters focused on door breaching techniques during their monthly fire training, giving crews an opportunity to practice skills that can be critical during emergency responses.
The training was held on August 15 and centered on techniques used by firefighters to gain access through doors during emergency operations. The exercise allowed personnel to work through controlled scenarios while developing familiarity with breaching methods and improving coordination as a team.
A key part of the training was the use of a specialized door prop, which was built specifically for the department’s training needs. Nottingham Fire Rescue expressed its appreciation to full-time Firefighter/AEMT Doughty for constructing the prop and helping provide crews with a practical tool for hands-on training.
Regular exercises such as this allow firefighters to strengthen their operational skills and prepare for situations where rapid and effective access may be necessary during an emergency.
