Nashua, NH - Nashua Fire Rescue has highlighted Fire Alarm Dispatcher Joshua Whittemore as part of a personnel spotlight recognizing his contributions to the communications division.

Whittemore joined Nashua Fire Rescue in 2025, bringing with him a strong background in emergency communications and field operations. Prior to his current assignment, he served approximately three years in emergency dispatching with NMRECC, where he developed key skills in high-pressure call handling, multitasking, and coordinated public safety communications.

In addition to his dispatch experience, Whittemore has nearly five years of active service as a firefighter with the Dunstable Fire Department, providing him with valuable operational insight from the field. This combined experience allows him to better understand incident conditions from both the responder and communications perspectives, strengthening overall effectiveness during emergency operations.

Outside of his professional duties, he enjoys working on vehicles, playing golf, and spending time watching baseball with his family. His profile reflects a strong commitment to teamwork, service, and maintaining balance between operational readiness and personal interests.
