Bedford Celebrated Juliette Brey’s EMT Achievement

BEDFORD, NY — August 21 — A significant training achievement was achieved in Bedford as Juliette Brey successfully completed New York State EMT training. During this time, she also continued to grow within the emergency services' community.


Brey had taken part in the Bedford Fire Department’s Recruit Program, which offers young people an introduction to fire and emergency medical services.

The program provides training for those interested in becoming firefighters or EMTs. It is open to local youth starting at the age of 15 and includes instruction in scene safety, communication methods, equipment use, CPR, and fundamental EMS skills.


The Bedford Fire Department, located at 550 Old Post Road in Bedford, was recognized as the first responding department.

The Town of Bedford confirmed that the department provides ambulance services within its fire district.


After finishing her course, Bra was anticipated to continue her learning through supervised ambulance ride-alongs.

The department runs two ambulances, identified as 52-B1 and 52-B2.
