On the evening of August 24, members of the Perth Volunteer Fire Company gathered their mutual-aid counterparts from the Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Company for a combined training session that focused on pre-incident preparation and firefighter bailout techniques in the Village of Broadalbin.

Firefighters had the chance to practice emergency skills required when their regular means of evacuation from a building are no longer accessible thanks to the practical training, which included bailout tactics.

Bailout training gives interior staff experience identifying when an escape route has been impeded and utilizing other means to get to a safe place. As the firemen worked through the processes in a controlled setting, the practice also strengthened their cooperation.

Additionally, the departments used Perth's ladder truck to carry out pre-incident planning across the Village of Broadalbin. Buildings, access points, possible areas for aerial installation, and other factors that can impact operations during a working fire were examined by firefighters.

Command staff and ladder organizations benefit most from pre-planning. Before making choices under fireground conditions, firefighters can better comprehend access, setbacks, aerial placement, and potential obstructions by viewing a structure before to an incident.
