Laurence Harbor, NJ Laurence Harbor Fire Department members spent the day in the water sharpening essential skills during hands-on water rescue training designed to improve speed, cordination, and safety during marine emergencies.

Firefighters worked through real-world rescue scenarios, focusing on victim approach techniques, water survival awareness, and safe extraction methods under challenging conditions. The training emphasized teamwork and quick decision-making in dynamic water environments where conditions can change rapidly.

Crews also reinforced core operational safety practices, ensuring members remain confident and prepared while operating near or in the water during emergencies.

In Middlesex County on August 25, the training evolution took place along the waterfront as members refined their water rescue capabilities through practical, scenario-based drills.
