In preparation for the Blandford Fair Demolition Derbies on September 5 and 6, Blandford Fire & Rescue personnel trained in car extrication on August 19.

Firefighters practiced using hydraulic rescue equipment and auto extrication tactics. Members received practical experience with vehicle rescue operations during the training.

The department expressed gratitude to Highway Superintendent Ray Hultay for his assistance in simulating a real-world car accident during the practice.
