Harpursville, NY - Members of the Harpursville Fire Department conducted weekly training focused on dry hydrant testing.

The exercise was designed to evaluate and ensure the reliability of static water sources used in areas where municipal hydrant systems are not available. Crews reviewed setup procedures, flow capability, and operational efficiency to confirm that rural water supply points remain functional for emergency use.

This type of training plays a critical role in maintaining effective fire suppression capabilities in outlying areas, ensuring dependable water access during incident response.
