This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Weare, N.H. — July 22 — Future firemen were invited to an apparatus familiarization training at Weare Fire Rescue. Participants learned about the instruments used in emergency responses and took a tour of the department's equipment. They learned about fire equipment, crew operations, and the fundamental tasks carried out by emergency workers during the program. The department took advantage of the chance to give people a better understanding of the fire service and to pique their interest in becoming members in the future.

At 144 North Stark Highway, Weare Fire Rescue offers the community rescue, emergency medical response, fire suppression, and other services. By improving participants' comprehension of department operations and firefighter duties, the event also promoted public education and recruiting.
