Olean, NY - Captain Swift of A Platoon from the City of Olean Fire Department participated in the Jimmy Ellis Training Weekend in the Pittsburgh area.

The program began with instructional sessions from guest speakers, followed by two full days of intensive live-fire training. Throughout the weekend, Captain Swift completed over 30 live-fire evolutions under realistic fireground conditions.

Training focused on critical operational skills including search operations, forcible entry, hose line advancement, thermal imaging use, and roof ventilation, among other essential fireground tactics.

The hands-on, high-intensity training provided valuable experience designed to enhance firefighter preparedness and operational effectiveness on the fireground.
