Alstead, N.H. — July 27 — Joint training on emergency extraction gear was held on Monday night by Gilsum Fire and emergency and Alstead Fire and Rescue. Firefighters rehearsed using the tools used in vehicle and rescue operations and went over the equipment. Crews from both agencies had the chance to collaborate on synchronized rescue tasks and gain practical experience during the program.

Before responding to emergencies, firefighters can stay up to date on protocols, equipment, and safe operating standards with regular training. Additionally, joint sessions improve communication between nearby departments that might collaborate on car collisions and other rescue situations. The instruction promoted ongoing preparedness for disaster situations.
