Arcade, NY -Arcade Fire Department members participated in a nighttime UTV search training exercise hosted by the Erie County Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Services in the Erie County Forestry.

First responders from multiple fire and police agencies were tasked with locating four missing individuals within a large wooded area. Crews developed search plans and deployed using UTVs, successfully locating all subjects during the operation.

The training provided valuable experience in nighttime search conditions, introducing additional challenges that enhanced coordination, planning, and operational effectiveness. Lessons learned will support improved response to future search incidents.
