FDNY Promotes 31 Members to Leadership Ranks

In a ceremony held on July 23 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island, the FDNY elevated 31 men to leadership roles.
New lieutenants, captains, a deputy chief, and an assistant chief were among the promotions. After years of service and commitment to the department, the personnel received their promotions.
John Esposito, the department chief, urged the recently promoted officers to guide their colleagues, make tough choices, maintain departmental standards, and preserve FDNY customs.
Each of the five boros will have troops allocated to the new officers.
