FDNY Attends U.S. Coast Guard Sector New York Change of Command

On July 20, FDNY Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore, Chief of Department John Esposito, and other FDNY personnel were present at the U.S. Coast Guard Sector New York Change of Command Ceremony on Staten Island.
Captain Jonathan Andrechik officially relinquished command to Captain Doreen McCarthy during the ceremony. McCarthy takes up the duties of Captain of the Port of New York and New Jersey in addition to leading U.S. Coast Guard Sector New York.
The FDNY praised Captain Andrechik for his service and commended Captain McCarthy on her new role. Additionally, the agency reiterated its dedication to collaborating with its federal partners.
