Children from Cradles to Crayons were welcomed by Emerson Volunteer Fire Department members for a tour of the fire station and a demonstration of fire safety.

Children learned about fire safety, emergency procedures, and the appearance and sound of firemen responding to calls during the visit. Additionally, they had the chance to utilize a fire hose while seated in a fire vehicle under the guidance of firefighters.

Firefighters had the chance to interact with local kids and reinforce crucial fire safety skills in a practical environment during the visit.

In order to learn more about joining the Emerson Fire Department, the department also asked those who were interested in volunteering to come to the station on any Monday at 7:30 p.m.
