On his 19th birthday, fireman Joey Ott received recognition from the Indiana Fire Association, which highlighted his growth from a junior fireman to an active member of the department.

At the age of 14, Ott became a member of the association in September 2021. Since then, at the age of 17, he obtained his Interior Firefighter certification after completing Essentials of Firefighting. After graduating from Indiana High School, he is currently employed full-time at CAT as a mechanic.

Ott was characterized by department colleagues as dependable, diligent, and eager to help whenever required. He has also been able to provide a good example for younger members because to his experience as a junior firefighter.

Ott received congratulations and gratitude from the Indiana Fire Association for his ongoing service.
