Motorcycle Ride for Suicide Prevention

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

A group of motorcycle riders, including many first responders, took a scenic motorcycle ride for suicide prevention.

The 2nd Annual ride for suicide prevention in honor of Dan Lawlor, also known as ‘Flounder,’ took place on Saturday, August 2.

Riders met up at the Elm Avenue Town Park in Delmar, where they checked in and went over their route.

They left the park and crossed under the American Flag displayed over the roadway from ladder trucks from the Delmar Fire Department.

The ride took the motorcyclists through Albany and Greene counties, with other local police and fire agencies assisting with road closures along the way while the group of riders made their way through various areas.

The Slingerlands Fire Department was the ending point for the riders to enjoy food and quality time with others.
