Garden City, GA - The Garden City Fire Rescue participated in an advanced training program focused on modern fireground tactics and water application strategies.

The course, Water Mapping: How Water Wins When Water Flows, emphasized the critical importance of the initial fire attack and maximizing the first moments on scene. Drawing from research by organizations such as the UL Fire Safety Research Institute and the U.S. Fire Administration, the training reinforced an “Expect Fire, Expect Victims” mindset and the effective use of initial tank water to improve outcomes.

Through both classroom instruction and hands-on evolutions, firefighters enhanced their understanding of fire behavior and tactical decision-making, ensuring they remain prepared to apply the latest strategies in protecting the community.
