On July 23, the Atkinson Fire Department announced the delivery of its new fire engine, which is the next step in modernizing and replacing its frontline equipment.

Before the engine is put into service, firemen will finish factory training, install tools and equipment, and perform operating exercises over the next few weeks. The device, which was authorized by Atkinson voters in 2023, is intended to improve firefighter safety and emergency response capabilities.
