Marblehead Firefighter Jack Boardway Retires After 31 Years

In honor of Firefighter Arthur "Jack" Boardway's more than 31 years of devoted service to the department and the community, the Marblehead Fire Department announced his retirement on July 14.


Boardway graduated from the Massachusetts Fire Academy in 1996 and began working for the department on September 17, 1995. He led and assisted other firefighters while serving as a provisional lieutenant three times during his tenure.


In addition to wishing Boardway and his family the best of luck in retirement, department officials recognized him for his dedication, professionalism, and long-lasting contributions.
