Kennett Square, PA. — July 4 — As communities came together for holiday celebrations throughout the area, Kennett Fire Company No. 1 urged citizens to enjoy Independence Day safely. Due to fireworks, outdoor grilling, and increased travel, the Fourth of July is typically one of the busiest holidays for emergency responders. The public was urged by firefighters to abide by local fireworks laws, keep barbecues away from buildings, and properly dispose of fireworks after usage.
