West Chester, PA. — July 1 —  Goshen Fire Company joined emergency responders across Pennsylvania in honoring Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Michael Pahira following his line-of-duty death. Pahira was fatally injured while conducting a commercial vehicle inspection along Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County when a tractor-trailer left the roadway and struck the inspection scene.

A nearly 20-year veteran assigned to Troop L, Frackville, he was remembered for his dedication to public safety and service. Goshen Fire Company extended its condolences to his family, friends and fellow troopers, joining the emergency services community in recognizing his sacrifice.
