Extrication Drill Reinforces Core Rescue Skills

Portage, PA - The Blue Knob Volunteer Fire Company conducted a vehicle extrication training drill focused on strengthening fundamental rescue techniques.


Crews worked through essential skills including vehicle stabilization, glass management, and door and roof removal, reinforcing the basics that are critical during real-world incidents. While advanced scenarios are often practiced, this training emphasized mastering core operations to ensure efficiency and safety on scene.


The department also extended appreciation to Clark's Auto Salvage for providing vehicles used during the hands-on training.
