On July 15, Berkeley Heights Fire Department personnel practiced double vehicle extrication in order to improve their technical rescue abilities.

Rescue-1, Squad-2, and the department's HURST Jaws of Life rescue tools, which are powered by portable hydraulic units intended for situations in which cars are situated outside the reach of apparatus-mounted hose reels, were deployed by firefighters. Scene size-up, vehicle stability, hazard control, patient care, disentanglement, and coordinated patient removal were all part of the exercise.

The department expressed gratitude to DeFalco's Instant Towing for providing two automobiles that were utilized in the practical training session.
