Kyle Robbins, an EMT and firefighter, recently paid a visit to the Berkeley Heights Fire Department headquarters with his son, Hunter, demonstrating the department's familial ties.

Since joining the department in 2010 at the age of 17, Robbins has held the position of captain while completing advanced training in technical rescue, which includes hazardous materials response, vehicle extrication, high-angle rope rescue, confined space rescue, and rapid water rescue. He is employed as a boilermaker and a medic on the Bayway Technical Rescue Team at the Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery.
