Quinton, N.J. — July 4 — Residents were urged to enjoy holiday activities and celebrate Independence Day safely by the Department Quinton Fire Company, located at 42 Main St. The agency warned the community to keep grills away from homes and combustible objects, watch over kids near sparklers and open flames, and attend professional fireworks shows whenever feasible.

Additionally, officials advised locals to properly dispose of hot charcoal after usage and to have a fire extinguisher or water source close by when cooking outside. In order to lessen avoidable fires, injuries, and emergency events over the holiday weekend, the department wished everyone a safe and joyful Fourth of July and promoted appropriate festivities.
