Brooksville, FL - The Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to an animal rescue near Oak Hill Hospital after several ducklings were reported trapped in a storm drain.

Upon arrival, Engine 12 crews assessed the situation and carefully accessed the drain, working methodically to safely retrieve each of the five ducklings without causing harm. Firefighters ensured the area was secure throughout the operation while coordinating the rescue.

All ducklings were successfully removed and safely reunited with their mother nearby. The incident highlights the department’s attention to detail and commitment to protecting all members of the community.
