Moon Township, PA. — June 29 — Seven members of Moon Township Volunteer Fire Company received recognition for completing a nationally recognized structure firefighting training program and earning their Firefighter I ProBoard certifications. Classroom education, practical skill assessments, and live-fire training encompassing fire suppression, search and rescue, ventilation, ladders, forced entry, and firefighter safety in accordance with NFPA 1001 regulations were all necessary for the certification.

Officers from the department welcomed the members as certified interior firefighters and acknowledged them for finishing the rigorous curriculum. Their accomplishment improved the department's operational preparedness by bringing in skilled workers ready to handle crises and assist in the ongoing provision of fire safety services to the Moon Township community.
