MUNHALL, Pa. — July 19 — Following his successful Firefighter I Pro Board certification, 2nd Lt. Alex Ligeros was acknowledged by the Munhall Central Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, Inc., located at 1900 West St. Extensive classroom education, practical training, and assessments in structure firefighting, search and rescue, ladder operations, ventilation, and firefighter safety preceded the nationally recognized certification.

The qualification demonstrated Ligeros' dedication to professional growth and enabled him to carry out internal structure firefighting tasks in accordance with accepted norms. As he proceeded to assist mutual aid responses throughout Allegheny County and serve the Munhall neighborhood, department officers commended him on the accomplishment.
