Americus, GA - The Sumter County Fire Rescue continues to emphasize that every day presents an opportunity for training and growth.

Veteran firefighters work closely with new recruits, sharing knowledge and real-world experience while reinforcing core firefighting principles. In addition to hands-on learning, recruits gain valuable experience through daily responsibilities such as checking equipment, performing maintenance, and ensuring all apparatus and tools are in proper working order.

This consistent focus on training and mentorship helps ensure all personnel remain prepared, professional, and ready to respond to any emergency.
