Union, GA - The Union County Fire Department announced that Captain Jeff Fortenberry completed a 24-hour Hazardous Materials Contingency Planning course at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center.
Delivered through the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency, the training focused on hazard identification, multi-agency coordination, and developing effective response plans for hazardous materials incidents.
The completion of this course strengthens the department’s preparedness and enhances its ability to protect the community during complex emergencies.
