Fire Prevention Team Delivers Safety Education to Local Students

Albany, GA - The Albany Fire Department, led by Assistant Chief of Prevention Marcus Glass and personnel from Station 5, conducted a fire safety education session for students of the Freedom School at the Albany Civil Rights Institute.


During the program, firefighters provided instruction on essential fire safety practices, helping students understand prevention measures, hazard awareness, and appropriate actions during emergencies. The session emphasized the importance of early education in building safer communities.


The outreach effort reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to public education and proactive fire prevention initiatives.
