Quick work in Hasbrouck Heights

On July 23rd around 4:30pm Hasbrouck Heights pd received multiple calls for a structure fire at 205 Myers Ave. Chief 60, 61, 62, and Engine 2 initially responded and found smoke coming from a ground level garage. A signal 10-30 ( all hands) and a second alarm was transmitted while crews from Engine 2 stretched a line to the garage area to knock down the fire and searched the house for occupants. Members were able to locate two dogs and safely remove them from the structure. Mutual aid that assisted on the scene came from Wood-Ridge, Little Ferry, Hackensack, Wallington and Saddle Brook. Carlstadt, Moonachie and Ridgefield Park covered the Borough.
