Firefighters Recognized Nation’s 250th Independence Day

Baldwin, N.Y. — July 4 — In honor of America's 250th birthday, the Baldwin Fire Department (2386 Grand Ave., Baldwin, NY 11510) urged locals to enjoy Independence Day in a safe manner. The authorities advised people to avoid driving while intoxicated, remain hydrated during the summer heat, visit professional fireworks shows, keep grills and fire pits away from structures and combustible materials, and check on elderly neighbors. Additionally, fire officials advised locals to dial 911 right away in case of an emergency.


Throughout the holiday weekend, the celebration commemorated 250 years since the Declaration of Independence was adopted and demonstrated the department's ongoing dedication to saving lives, assisting the community, and advancing fire and life safety.
