North Scituate, R.I. — July 4 — The North Scituate Fire Department celebrated Independence Day and the country's 250th birthday with the locals, all the while being prepared to handle emergency situations. As public events, family get-togethers, and parades occurred around the region, firefighters provided assistance to the community. Due to increased outside activities and the use of pyrotechnics, the Fourth of July is typically one of the busiest periods for fire departments.

During festivities, the agency urged locals to abide by local laws and fire safety procedures. The celebration honored the nation's historic occasion, served the community, and demonstrated the North Scituate Fire Department's continued dedication to public safety.
