On July 4, Pittsfield Fire Department IAFF Local 2647 members took part in the city's annual Independence Day parade honoring America's 250th anniversary.

While on-duty teams continued to be available to respond to emergencies throughout the day, firefighters participated in the holiday celebrations with the community. Firefighters continue to provide emergency services around-the-clock, every day of the year, department officials said, reminding residents to celebrate responsibly.

A safe and joyous Independence Day was wished by the department to the community.
