After completing the Introduction to the Fire Service curriculum at the Connecticut Fire Academy on July 18, Explorer Gary Hebert received recognition from the South Windsor Fire Department.

Hebert finished the week-long residential program in Windsor Locks, which provides practical fire service training to young adults from all throughout Connecticut. Participants displayed the abilities they had acquired during a real-world fire simulation after graduation.

Hebert was congratulated on the accomplishment by department officials, who also acknowledged the South Windsor Fire Department Honor Guard members and adult advisers for their support of the Explorer program.
