Cadet Training Builds Water Supply and Pumping Skills

Warren, RI - The Warren Fire Department - Warren, RI conducted hands-on training for cadet members, providing practical experience in essential engine company operations.


Working with Engine 1, cadets were introduced to hydrant tagging procedures, gaining an understanding of identifying and marking hydrants for operational use. Training also focused on establishing a reliable water supply and operating the pump, allowing participants to see how water is delivered from the hydrant through the apparatus to support firefighting operations.


The session reinforced foundational skills and offered valuable real-world exposure, helping prepare cadets for future roles in the fire service.
