Foster, RI - The Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company conducted an EMS training session focused on hands-on skills and operational consistency. Members reviewed standardized first-in medical bags to ensure quick access to critical equipment.
Training included extremity injury care, bandaging techniques, tourniquet application, and glucometer use. Crews also worked through scenarios such as stroke, cardiac emergencies, altered mental status, and special patient considerations.
The session concluded with a review of common medical incidents to strengthen preparedness for community events and emergency response.
