Fleischmanns, N.Y. — July 4 — The Fleischmanns Fire Department joined towns across in commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence. Members of the department commemorated the momentous occasion that marked 250 years since the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776. The fire service's long-standing dedication to safeguarding people, property, and the communities it serves was represented in the observance.

Events on Independence Day also offered a chance to advocate proper holiday festivities and fireworks safety.
