Egg Harbor Township, N.J. — July 10 — Following Robert "Bobby" Reider III of the Malaga Fire Company's line-of-duty death, the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company, 6609 Black Horse Pike, joined fire stations throughout New Jersey in paying tribute. On June 27, the 23-year-old volunteer firefighter passed away from injuries he received while responding to an emergency call.

Members of Cardiff acknowledged his commitment to the fire service and offered their sympathies to his family, colleagues, and fellow firefighters. Similar tributes were offered by departments across the region, demonstrating the solid cooperation amongst emergency services. Colleagues around the New Jersey fire service community remembered his dedication and service.
