South Windsor, CT - The South Windsor Fire Department Rescue Squad conducted scenario-based training focused on a simulated vehicle into a house/garage with a victim trapped beneath the vehicle.
Members operated through the evolution by assessing hazards, stabilizing the vehicle, and practicing coordinated extrication techniques to safely remove the simulated victim. The training emphasized teamwork, communication, and technical rescue skills required for complex incidents.
The Rescue Squad is composed of selected members from each firefighting company, operating under the leadership of a Lieutenant and Captain. These members complete additional specialized training on a monthly basis, further strengthening the department’s ability to handle advanced rescue situations.
