Grand Gorge FD Recognized Veteran Constable’s Retirement

Grand Gorge, N.Y. — July 15 — After 56 years of service, Constable Stephen Williamson resigned from the Grand Gorge Fire Department. Williamson began his employment with the Delaware County Sheriff's Office in 1970 and served as a constable for the Town of Roxbury for almost 40 years. Throughout his career, he worked alongside firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and other first responders during incidents and community events.


Representatives from the department acknowledged his long-standing commitment to public safety and praised him for his years of committed service. Throughout his tenure, Williamson demonstrated decades of collaboration, professionalism, and support for emergency services in Delaware County and the neighboring areas.
