Halcottsville, N.Y. — July 4 — In honor of Independence Day, the Halcottsville Fire Department urged locals to enjoy holiday activities with loved ones in a safe manner. The public was urged by department officials to abide by local pyrotechnics regulations, keep kids under tight adult supervision, and entrust huge fireworks displays to qualified experts. To lessen the chance of unintentional fires, they also advised keeping a water source close by when using authorized fireworks.

Fire prevention is particularly crucial because Independence Day continues to be one of the busiest holidays for emergency personnel and fire departments. The department thanked the community for its ongoing support of local emergency services and firemen and wished everyone a safe Fourth of July.
