Florence, N.J. — June 18 — The anniversary of the 2007 Charleston Sofa Super Store fire, which killed nine firemen in Charleston, South Carolina, was commemorated by the Department Florence Twp. Fire Dept., 401 Firehouse Ln. For American firemen, the incident continues to rank among the bloodiest single incidents in recent memory. Rapid fire growth, high fuel loading, and building characteristics were found to be important causes.
