Bordentown, N.J. — June 26 — To improve hose advancement, hydrant operations, and pump skills, the Department Consolidated Fire Association held a training session on Stanton Avenue. Working alongside more seasoned personnel, junior and probationary firefighters practiced essential engine company functions. During the practice, Franklin Engler Jr., a recently certified driver, obtained supervised experience using the equipment pump.

In order to strengthen their emergency response skills, crews also went over hose deployment and water delivery protocols. In order to maintain operational preparedness and adhere to New Jersey fire service regulations, the volunteer department conducted practical training on a monthly basis. Regular training, according to department officials, helps members develop self-assurance, enhance coordination, and stay ready to properly serve the Bordentown community.
