Egg Harbor Township, N.J. — July 4 — While commemorating Independence Day, Farmington Volunteer Fire Company #4 urged locals to enjoy the occasion in a safe manner. During one of the busiest periods of the year for emergency services, the department, located at 301 Maple Ave., advised the community to exercise caution when using barbecues, fireworks, and outdoor activities.

To lower the risk of fires and casualties, fire officials urged families to observe local safety standards and attend public fireworks shows. The department continued to support a safer community throughout Egg Harbor Township by promoting fire prevention and public education in addition to emergency response. This helped citizens enjoy the Fourth of July.
