Egg Harbor City, N.J. — July 10 — The Malaga Fire Company received condolences from the Germania Volunteer Fire Company when Probationary Firefighter Robert "Bobby" Reider, 23, died on June 27 from injuries he received in a car accident while responding to a fire incident. In 2018, he became a junior firefighter with the Malaga Fire Company, and in 2022, he obtained his Firefighter I qualification.

Members of Germania acknowledged his dedication to the fire department and extended support to his friends, family, and fellow firefighters. In times of tragedy, volunteer fire departments around South Jersey have a strong bond, which was represented in the homage.
