Hammonton, N.J. — June 24 — During the department's routine Wednesday night practice, members of the Hammonton Fire Department took part in an annual live fire training session at the Atlantic County Fire Academy. Firefighters finished controlled drills in hose deployment, pump operations, search and rescue, fire suppression, and firefighter safety. The practical training at the academy helped workers develop the skills necessary for emergency situations.

To maintain operational readiness and accommodate volunteer members, department officials planned several training sessions throughout the year. The Hammonton Fire Department, which is headquartered at 100 Central Avenue, has continued to place a strong emphasis on continuing education to guarantee that firemen are equipped to handle emergencies in the community in a safe and efficient manner.
