On July 10, a technical rescue at a construction site close to Avenue C and 20th Street was handled by the Bayonne Office of Emergency Management.
A construction worker fell about 20 feet down a hole, prompting the response of the Bayonne Fire Department, Bayonne Police Department, McCabe Ambulance, and the Office of Emergency Management. After the worker was safely removed from the dig by emergency personnel, the patient was sent to Jersey City Medical Center for assessment and care.
