On July 7, members of the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department participated in an airport familiarization exercise at Essex County Airport alongside firemen from nearby West Essex districts.

Crews had the chance to evaluate the airport's layout, access routes, and important operational factors for handling aircraft emergencies and other situations during the training. These kinds of cooperative exercises enhance departmental collaboration and increase emergency readiness in specialized settings.

Department representatives acknowledged all participating agencies for their ongoing dedication to training and regional collaboration and thanked Essex County Airport for organizing the exercise.
